"Sunday Morning Worship"

I can’t speak (or write) for you, however the recent Sunday morning worship services have been especially meaningful and inspiring for me.

For the last three Sundays I have seen Christians baptized! We have hosted a World Changers group overnight, feeding them dinner and breakfast. We have sent a group of our own youth on a mission trip to Nashville. Sunday they returned and shared some of their experiences of the week.

All of this comes about happily in the middle of Summer when many find opportunity to forego Sunday Worship. Unfortunately for them and us, many of our own choose to forego Sunday worship on a regular basis.

As I ponder and take in the inspiration of these recent worship experiences I am reminded that whether there are baptisms, groups coming in or being sent out, worship is focused on God, and God alone. No doubt, these recent Sunday morning activities are good and inspiring, and I encourage them! After all, whenever we see the Kingdom of God expanding it is opportunity to rejoice. Nevertheless my worship of God on Sunday morning focuses on God’s holiness, love, sacrifice, grace, mercy, patience, forgiveness, kindness ... .

Therefore regardless of the content of my day, the order of service, or those present, I find reason to rejoice, to praise, to sing, and be glad for I have come to worship God!

I am looking forward to Sunday’s worship with you. I pray you are as well.

We Labor together with God,
