"Go Fly A Kite"
...And that is exactly what we did, maybe not all 73 of us, but many of us. I think I counted 15 kites up in the air at the same time, not counting the one stuck in the tree, or that ended up in the middle of the lake, or even the one that sailed over the lake. Sunday afternoon was one of the best afternoons of the year to enjoy fellowship, food, and fun that only the folks of Walnut Street Baptist Church know how to experience. I was quite impressed with the number of children - small children - who were running around, helping their folks with the kite flying. Walnut Street Baptist Church really goes above and beyond in reaching out to children. The leaders of our preschool and children’s Sunday School Departments are dedicated in their attendance and letting our children know that God loves them. And, they make learning so much fun. Our ministry to children is one of Walnut Street Baptist Church’s greatest strengths. Another of our strengths is Vacation Bible School. Once again we are blessed with VBS workers who truly love children and desire to lead them into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Please remember our children, workers, and parents as you pray for Vacation Bible School. Be here Sunday Night for our prayer walk. If you can assist financially with refreshments contact Ann Carrington. If possible celebrate a great week of VBS Friday night on the property.
