Playing The Hokey Pokey with God

Yeah, we do that a lot. At least that is Glen Sasscer’s take in his blog. Click here to read it for yourself, "What Glenn Writes"

We come to that time in our life when we realize our desperate need for God. We accept Jesus and put our whole self in. But then, we go back to work, school, or wherever and live like we’ve always lived. The whole situation is overwhelming for us and we put our whole self out. At some point, we get things all messed up. We remember God and our desperate need for him so we put our whole self back in. We shake ourselves about and really try to turn things around. Then we do it all over again because that’s what it’s all about.

Who other than our God would put up with such nonsense? Because God draws near we can return to God over and over. Listen to God’s Word from Micah 7:18-19

"Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea."

God is so Good and so close, be sure to seek Him while he still may be found.... Join us in Sunday School and Worship this week, God will be present.
